Finding the meaning

In my reading group we had to find a word we didn't understand and try to figure out the meaning. By reading the sentience, this was my word I didn't understand.
 

My digital world

         

     In my class we were doing art and we did my digital world. I think

 it is good that we do this so we can see what kids go on in their 

digital time. So in my digital time I do this.

Learning to play tennis

                                On Tuesday we learnt to play tennis with Peter. First we got
                                into two partners. My partner was Kate we had terns throwing
                                the balls to each other and hit it softly. Kate was good and me not so.
                                When we were good at doing that we could just keep hitting it like in
                                a real game. Then we had to pack up it was actually fun and hope we
                                do it next week.

    I have achieved my reading goal. I have not achieved my writing goal because I haven't been doing punctuation in my writing, and haven't been practising them. I have achieved my maths goal.

What it looked like in the past and what it looks like now.

In my class we are doing what it looked like in the past and what it looks like now. We all did it in partners, my partner is Kate. She did the present well I did the past, and this is what Kate and I think what the past looks like and the present. 

A time I found a note in a bottle

One day I went to the beach with my family. There was my dad, my brother Max, and my cousin Nick. We were going fishing on our grandpa's boat. It was a really nice day for going fishing. We got our equipment for fishing. We got our fishing rods, and our bate so we could catch fish, and the rod Anchors so the fishing line can go down, and our life jackets.

When we got to Huia beach we pulled the boat off the boats tray, and pulled it in the water. Well my dad and my cousin and my brother was pulling the boat out, I found a bottle floating at the top of the water. I quickly grabbed  the bottle and opened the lid and took the note out. When suddenly it started getting windy. The note flew out of my hand. I tried to grab the note as fast as I could but I couldn't . I started getting scared when my dad said, come Sandy where going fishing now. I said not now dad, my cousin Nick and my brother Max said, why I said I found a bottle with a note in it. My cousin and brother said huh? I think some one needs our help I said.

So my dad, my cousin, my brother and I started looking for the note. It shouldn't  have gone far I said, my brother said yeah right. It was ages since we hadn't found the note. So my dad, cousin and brother went fishing with out me. I sat down buy the edge of the water and said only if I knew what was written on the note. Then I saw a peace of paper I thought it was just rubbish but I picked it up any ways, I looked at it properly and there it was I was holding the note. I read it and it said gotcha! I was like what . Then my cousin and brother started laughing. I said what's so funny. They said gotcha then we all started laughing. We went fishing for a little while. My brother caught one snapper, my cousin caught one silver fish, and my dad caught three silver fish and one snapper. 

We went home my dad cooked the fish well we were watching T.V. I caught nothing but I won't forget that day my cousin and brother got me.

The new Toi Toi book

On the 7th of May 2018, at school we went in to groups and read Toi Toi books. In my group there was Kate, Diego, Tyresse and Joe. Joe was a person that worked for Toi Toi.

When we were reading the new Toi Toi book, My favourite story in the Toi Toi book was Phoenix, because the story was about this boy saw a Phoenix. Then he was trying to creep up on it, but then he stepped on a stick. Then the Phoenix looked at him, and the boy looked at the Phoenix, and the Phoenix flew away. It was weird because I felt like I was there, I could actually see every thing.      

Then we had to pack up. We went into room eleven and sang a song, to the Toi Toi people. Then they went. We went back to class, but it was fun and I will never forget that story. 



  

  

My Holiday

During the first week of the holidays, My dad, brother, sister and I decided to go to the beach, because it was really hot.

First we had toasty's for breakfast. We had spaghetti and cheese inside them. Then we got ready to go to the beach. We put our swimming togs on. Then my dad got his goggles.

Then we went to  Bucklands beach. When we got in to the water, it was cold. Then I started swimming around. It got warmer. My dad put his goggles on, and went to the bottom of the deepest bite he could feel, and look around. When my dad popped back up of the water, He found marble, the white one marble. It looked like a crystal but it wasn't. We still keep it.

Then it was Five O'clock, we went home and had a shower, and then bought fish and chips, and sausages. Well we were eating we were watching a movie. I wish I could go back to that day, because I felt really happy.

Reading
My goal for reading is to improve on expression, and not talking like a robot. 
Almost/I didn't achieved reading with expression, because I wasn't doing it all the time.  

Writing
My writing goal is I need to improve in writing is, I need to put in more punctuation.
Needs work/I need work with punctuation' because I don't know when to put the.  

Maths
In maths I need to work on and learn my 3 and 4 time tables, buy learning it at home and at school.
Achieved/I achieved because I was listening to everybody, and practising.  

How to get to a new destination

• I am going to show you how to get to a new destination by just walking.
• Start behind the hoop facing north.
• First take 30 steps forward and turn left.
• Take another 28 steps and turn fight.
• Then take 8 steps forward and turn left.
• Take 15 steps forward then turn left again.
• Walk 6 steps forward and you should be at your destination.
• I learnt that you don't write paragraphs in a map.

How to draw a portrait of a friend or your self

Today I am going to explain how to draw a portrait,of a friend or your self.

First draw the shape of the head like oval. Then draw a straight doted line going down the head. Then draw another doted line going straight across the head sideways. Make another line but a bit lower then the sideways one. 

Next do the eyes. When you do your eyes leave a little bit of space between the line that's going straight down. When your doing your eyes do it the shape that looks like the persons eye shape.

 After do the mouth. When your doing the mouth do it half way to the doted line. Do the other side the same. After do a line though your lips.

Finally you do your ears. When you do your ears you do them between the the two doted lines. Lastly do your hair. Then your done your portrait.

My class Swimming

My Class Swimming


My class swimming. At my school we do swimming. We do different styles each day like, back stroke,free style,floating on your back,and your front,and Brest stroke. I,m good at free style because, I,m used to doing that style all the time.Now I know  how to do others,and I am also good at the other styles now.   
                                                         

Ice cream

Ice cream can be different  flavors or it can be big or small, I like Vanilla the most because it taste like a milky way.  My second favorite is chocolate chip because when I devour it , it makes my day go smooth.  

Kitchen Chemistry

Room 10  experiment

If you put a little bit of water in the tin and put the lid on, it would pop up because the water becomes steam from the heat on the gas oven. There were no holes to let the steam escape so the steam pushed the lid off the tin can. Some of the water disappeared because it heated up, turn into steam and then disappeared when the lid popped up.

When the lid popped  up every body got a shock. It was funny to watch the video.
