Teachers On Strike

On Thursday the teachers went on strike. Teachers from primary schools and secondary teachers were walking up Queens Street and holding signs saying we need more teachers and pay rise. Parents, students were supporting the teachers too.

So the government offered to the teachers a pay rise for three years, some teachers agreed some did not. I hope that we get more teachers in the future because if we didn't we wouldn't  have any schools.

My term 3 reflection

    I have achieved my reading goal. I have not achieved my writing goal because I haven't been doing punctuation in my writing, and haven't been practising them. I have achieved my maths goal.

                                 I did achieve my reading goal because I did it at home and school.
                                 I didn't achieve my writing goal because I didn't put any punctuation
                                 in my writing.
                                 I did achieve my six times table goal by learning them at home and
                                at school.
                                I didn't achieve my 7 times tables goal because i didn't learn it.
                               
                                               

A time I found a note in a bottle

One day I went to the beach with my family. There was my dad, my brother Max, and my cousin Nick. We were going fishing on our grandpa's boat. It was a really nice day for going fishing. We got our equipment for fishing. We got our fishing rods, and our bate so we could catch fish, and the rod Anchors so the fishing line can go down, and our life jackets.

When we got to Huia beach we pulled the boat off the boats tray, and pulled it in the water. Well my dad and my cousin and my brother was pulling the boat out, I found a bottle floating at the top of the water. I quickly grabbed  the bottle and opened the lid and took the note out. When suddenly it started getting windy. The note flew out of my hand. I tried to grab the note as fast as I could but I couldn't . I started getting scared when my dad said, come Sandy where going fishing now. I said not now dad, my cousin Nick and my brother Max said, why I said I found a bottle with a note in it. My cousin and brother said huh? I think some one needs our help I said.

So my dad, my cousin, my brother and I started looking for the note. It shouldn't  have gone far I said, my brother said yeah right. It was ages since we hadn't found the note. So my dad, cousin and brother went fishing with out me. I sat down buy the edge of the water and said only if I knew what was written on the note. Then I saw a peace of paper I thought it was just rubbish but I picked it up any ways, I looked at it properly and there it was I was holding the note. I read it and it said gotcha! I was like what . Then my cousin and brother started laughing. I said what's so funny. They said gotcha then we all started laughing. We went fishing for a little while. My brother caught one snapper, my cousin caught one silver fish, and my dad caught three silver fish and one snapper. 

We went home my dad cooked the fish well we were watching T.V. I caught nothing but I won't forget that day my cousin and brother got me. 

My Holiday

During the first week of the holidays, My dad, brother, sister and I decided to go to the beach, because it was really hot.

First we had toasty's for breakfast. We had spaghetti and cheese inside them. Then we got ready to go to the beach. We put our swimming togs on. Then my dad got his goggles.

Then we went to  Bucklands beach. When we got in to the water, it was cold. Then I started swimming around. It got warmer. My dad put his goggles on, and went to the bottom of the deepest bite he could feel, and look around. When my dad popped back up of the water, He found marble, the white one marble. It looked like a crystal but it wasn't. We still keep it.

Then it was Five O'clock, we went home and had a shower, and then bought fish and chips, and sausages. Well we were eating we were watching a movie. I wish I could go back to that day, because I felt really happy.

Reading
My goal for reading is to improve on expression, and not talking like a robot. 
Almost/I didn't achieved reading with expression, because I wasn't doing it all the time.  

Writing
My writing goal is I need to improve in writing is, I need to put in more punctuation.
Needs work/I need work with punctuation' because I don't know when to put the.  

Maths
In maths I need to work on and learn my 3 and 4 time tables, buy learning it at home and at school.
Achieved/I achieved because I was listening to everybody, and practising.
